COLAS takes pride in working closely with our clients and stakeholders to collaboratively develop safe, sustainable and cost effective alternative solutions to meet client needs.
For the project featured in this short video, COLAS participated in a trial with the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) which involved undertaking various forms of a Cape Seal. The primary objectives were to provide improved surfacing and pavement shape properties, which would also reduce water ingress and improve rideability for a 1.5km section of road in the thriving regional community of Stanthorpe.
The trial site will be monitored by both TMR and COLAS moving forward, with learnings taken and applied to future sites as we continue to strive to deliver innovative and fit for purpose solutions in all aspects of pavement surfacing.
