We provide the materials and services needed to design, construct, maintain and preserve pavement infrastructure, ensuring long-term performance and value for money.
Our capabilities include the design and testing of aggregates, hot and cold asphalt, spray seals and stabilised materials using emulsion or foam bitumen. We manufacture and supply aggregates in Victoria and produce asphalt through a national network of fixed and mobile plants.
Our experienced construction teams operate through state-based businesses including COLAS QLD, COLAS NSW, COLAS WA, Topcoat Asphalt in South Australia and VSA in Victoria. These teams deliver high-quality asphalt paving and spray sealing services, as well as advanced surface treatments such as mineral-filled polymer modified emulsions (Sealcoat) and crack sealing. When applied at the right time, these treatments can significantly extend pavement life and reduce whole-of-life costs.
Through our international expertise and technical resources, COLAS also supports road authorities with long-term asset management services and maintenance contract delivery.
QUEENSLAND
COLAS Queensland provides road construction and maintenance services across Southeast and Regional Queensland. Our capabilities include asphalt manufacturing and placement, bitumen spraying and sealing, and a broad range of asset management services.
We operate a network of fixed asphalt plants throughout Southeast Queensland, supported by mobile plants that allow us to service projects in regional and remote areas. Our experienced paving and sealing crews, combined with reliable, high-quality equipment, enable us to deliver routine maintenance, pavement rehabilitation, and new construction for both public and private sector clients.
NEW SOUTH WALES
COLAS New South Wales delivers high-quality road construction and maintenance services across Sydney and regional NSW. Our core capabilities include asphalt manufacturing and placement, bitumen spraying and sealing, as well as a suite of asset management solutions.
We operate a strategic network of fixed asphalt plants along the east coast, complemented by mobile plants that enable us to efficiently service regional and remote projects. WESTERN AUSTRALIA
COLAS Western Australia is a leading provider of road surfacing services across both metropolitan and regional areas of the state. Our core capabilities include bitumen transport, spraying and sealing, along with asphalt production through mobile plant operations.
Our experienced sealing crews, supported by high-performance equipment, deliver reseals and new construction works for local councils, state road authorities, and private sector clients. With the flexibility of mobile asphalt plants, we are well equipped to service projects across even the most remote parts of Western Australia.
VICTORIA
VSA Roads was created in 2009 through a 50-50 joint venture between COLAS Australia and the Bartlett Family. VSA delivers road construction and maintenance services across southeast Australia, specialising in asphalt manufacturing and placement, bitumen spraying and sealing, and the supply of high-quality aggregates.

Topcoat Asphalt joined the COLAS Australia Group in 2018. As South Australia’s leading independent supplier of asphalt products and laying services, Topcoat has a proud history dating back to 1985.
With a fixed asphalt plant in Adelaide and a mobile asphalt plant, we are equipped to deliver high-quality road construction and maintenance services across both metropolitan and regional South Australia.
