Here at COLAS, we value strong and effective teamwork, so earlier this year we tested our teamwork skills outside of the workspace and on the field, in a futsal tournament – and we’re glad to say the 2022 Colas Cup was a huge success
This team sport saw our people come together from QLD, NSW, and VIC to form teams and compete with each other in a 5-a-side points-based tournament. In all 8 of the 20-minute games, from kick-off to full-time, our guys gave it their absolute all. Each and every player showed their competitive spirit and power on the field, though they showed even more respect and praise off the field – a true showcase of our people’s teamwork, dedication, and sportsmanship. Huge congrats goes out to the mixed QLD and NSW team for securing the win!
While sportsmanship and respect were shown in every aspect of the tournament, there had to be 2 key players picked from all the rest to represent Australia in the Asia-Oceania leg of the tournament, set to be held in Bangkok in November. The international rounds, consisting of teams formed across the global network of COLAS companies, will be held in Morocco in 2023.
