Thank You Kevin

Today we celebrate a key milestone in the career of one of the industry’s true gentlemen: it has been 40 years since a young man named Kevin McCullough showed up for his first day as a Surfacing Engineer at Emoleum Australia Ltd.

Staying 9 years with Emoleum, he advanced to Asphalt Operations Manager in Queensland. He then moved with a young family to Hong Kong in 1990 and spent six years with Anderson Asphalt Ltd as Technical Manager.

In 1996, it was back to Australia. Kevin joined Boral Asphalt in Queensland initially as Business Development Manager then Eastern Region Manager and finally General Manager Qld.

In 2011, Kevin took the jump to become a partner in newly formed SGQ – Sunstate Road Services, building the first asphalt plant in Maryborough Qld and a regional spray business in Central and North Queensland.

In July 2014 Colas purchased the asphalt and bitumen business which has now become the brand’s foundation in Queensland. Kevin has held key roles at Colas as Divisional Manager for Qld, NSW and WA contracting units and is currently Group Manager Strategy.

Throughout his career, Kevin has demonstrated a true vision to spot opportunities and talents as well as the integrity and care for people essential to retain the loyalty of those who have known him for many years.

This speaks to his character and professionalism which have been assets to all the companies he has worked with and to the industry at large.

We are very fortunate to count him as one of our own.
